Day One - Monday

Today we got transferred to our original hotel but that wasn't until 12 so we decided a nice walk around to see the local area in the daylight...we didn't get far before being stopped in the street by 2 English guys .... They have us a couple scratch cards which we had to scratch and we won a shirt and a "major prize" .. Only catch to get them you had to go to a hotel and chat to a guy and listen to his presentation of the hotel.... Only 90 minutes they say.... We had nothing else to do till lunch time so we went.... Well turned out the 90 minutes stretched out quite a bit longer but we did get a free shirt and a holiday accommodation voucher after saying no to their scamming presentation.. Lol bunch of scammers here... And they are not the Thai people that are scamming either, they were mostly English.

Phuket during the day is soo very different to the night life...  most things from the night disappear and day trading appears.... The main shops don't open till 11am and the street vendors we saw last night have also gone....

Later on we found an awesome place to have dinner, the place is called No 9 (2)... The food is soo good and really cheap... About $4 for a large main meal.... an we had a special visitor sit by our table during most of our meal... I will add a picture of it.

After dinner we went to the Patong Beach night markets... So many stalls and so much variety... Even stalls selling fried bugs/insects of all different kinds, was very tempted to eat them but managed to resist......Hahaha.

After walking the streets of Patong we came across the infamous Bangla Rd... Actually it was hard not to miss... It is the brightest noisiest road in Patong where from what I could tell there are pretty much no restrictions on anything....

We also came across this shrine on our first night so we came back for some pictures, people leave out red drinks with straws in them on the tables surrounding the statue - really dont know what that is all about...

We got back to the hotel at about 11.30pm to get some much needed sleep for the next day.
