Our Phuket Adventure

So we booked our holiday rather quickly after our passports arrived which really didn't leave a whole lot of time for proper planning or research, but we managed to muddle our way through and decided on Phuket.

Our flight left on Sunday at 12.05pm and was rather an uneventful yet comfortable 6 or so hour flight.  When we first arrived at the airport in Phuket I was rather shocked as I really had no idea what to expect.. Hahaha

Leaving the airport we got a metered taxi as was suggested on many travel sites, our driver was very good and patient on the road and didn't speed the whole way which we understand most of them do. The taxi was very clean and in very good condition, even though the driver didn't speak much English he was very pleasant

We arrived at our hotel at around 8pm and at check in we're told sorry we are full.... We booked and paid for the hotel 3 weeks earlier so we were a little shocked.... Not to worry though they booked us into a resort hotel a couple of doors down called the Daveena Spa Resort. The hotel was nice enough even though our room backed onto a rubbish pit... Lol.... Only problem we did have was that the bed was rock hard... I think the wooden floor might have been softer haha.

Once we were booked in we took a 3 hr stroll around a couple of streets, we were so wide eyed, so many hazards ...lol...... On our way back to the hotel we stopped at a banana pancake street vendor ... The banana and cinnamon pancake drizzled with condensed milk was sooooo good.. and only 40b. Which is about $1.30

We got to sleep at about midnight.
